Bala town and Lake is just 2 miles away and is a small yet fascinating market town located at the head of its famous lake, Llyn Tegid, (some time known as Bala Lake) is the largest natural water lake in Wales and is an ideal centre for touring North and Mid-Wales' Mountains, Valleys and Coasts.

Bala is famous for the quality of its watersports facilities, fishing (fly and coarse) walking, cycling, miniature steam railway. The National White Water Rafting Centre is just a couple of minutes up the road where you can do canoeing, rafting and kayaking, there is a cafe located within the rafting centre and plenty of viewing points to watch the fun if you dont want to get wet.
